I just received my certification as a CHMS.  The Class was interesting and I did learn some good stuff.  I do  think that 8 hours was a bit long for this class, but it's continuing ed, so I'll take it.  That weekend I could not wait to use what I had learned.  I was doing an open house in an empty home with a fabulous view of the Delaware River.  I needed to do something to entice them into the Living Room to see the view and the great fireplace.  I pulled on my recently learned skills and staged the living room with a romantic picnic in front of the fireplace and the french doors to the yard and view.  A simple chenille throw, a brite charger plate, a bottle of wine and two glasses and it was staged!  Upstairs just a few flowers in the bathroom to again direct them to the view.  The homeowner loved it, the few people who came in commented on the picnic and how they like it.

After my first try and success with staging I'm looking forward to doing my next.

Virginia~ the staging you did does sound very enticing.  You should post this to one of the staging groups, I'll bet you'll get a lot of positive feedback.
