Why Rotary Rocks in Myrtle Beach!

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Southern Shores

The Rotary Foundation and it's members do such a huge amount of good world wide, but I would like to take a moment to share some of the "small" local happenings here in Myrtle Beach.

Thanks to the donations of fellow local Rotarians, last week I was given the opportunity to go to the Carolina Forest Elementary school here in Myrtle Beach and hand to every third grader their own personal dictionary and bookmark for them to keep. The teachers also received a brand new book called  "Andy & Elmer's Apple Dumpling Adventure".

To say I had an amazing time is an understatement. I have never heard so many thank you's and seen so many smiling faces! I ended up learning a bit myself, the longest word in the english dictionary is way too long!

Over the next few weeks we will be going to more area schools handing out books, and this is just one reason why I am so proud to be a member of the Carolina Forest Rotary Club here in Myrtle Beach.

If you would like to come see what Rotary is about here at the beach, check us out! The Carolina Forest Rotary club meets every Wednesday morning at 7am at the Ailsa Pub in the Legends Golf Resort. If your a fellow Rotarian in town on vacation, stop by! Breakfast is on us!
