$13.2 million dollar facility gets Council approval in Brooklin.
Residents of Brooklin will soon enjoy a new Library and Community Centre. Council approved Monday a plan for construction of the new facility to be built on the site of the former Brooklin Fire Hall and the current library on Vipond Road, west of Price Street.
The new facility will consist of a 2-storey building with a dedicated seniors area, youth area, gymnasium, and multi-purpose rooms, all in addition to the new library.
Construction is projected to begin September 2008 with a targeted opening for September 2010.
