Ever run out of confectionery sugar?

Don't run to the store.

Making powdered sugar, or, making icing without confectionery sugar.

Anyone allergic to corn, you can't eat confectionery sugar

because it contains corn starch to prevent caking.  So, what do you do?

You make your own powdered sugar.

Using a Mr. Coffee bean grinder, or something similar,

put a small amount of regular cane sugar in the grinder and blast away.

Viola!  You now have "powdered sugar", that you can eat.

I use unsweetened baking chocolate squares, a tablespoon of butter and just a little milk to make to amount I need.

Enjoy those cupcakes!

Great tip.   My wife has done this in the past, too.  Thanks, Kenneth.
