The Loudoun County real estate market still only saw slight changes the third week in February 2012. 118 new listings hit the market in the past 7 days - still waiting for this number jump as we approach the spring market. The most notable change was again the decreasing number of distressed properties on the market in Loudoun County. There are 38 active foreclosures (4.3% of market) and 112 active short sales (12.6% of maket) - a 2.1% discrease in active distressed properties in just one week of market activity.
If you are thinking of listing your property this spring, I would advise getting it on the market within the next three weeks to beat the competition - the earlier the better!
