"Tis the Season"

We all spend a lot of time joking with each other and helping each other. There is a lot of holiday spirit in these blogs and in the comments. I have greatly enjoyed my membership in the "Rain" these past 4 weeks.

As we settle down for our holiday celebrations and family gatherings I 'd like to take  a moment to ask all of you to remember those who can't be home. Our soldiers abroad and at home who are doing their duty. To the Police, Fire and Rescue workers who take time out of their lives and the lives of their families to make sure that we are safe. A quiet thought of gratitude and appreciation are in order for these great selfless people.

I would like to extend to all of you a Merry Christmas wish and all the best in 2007. If we can get the rest of the world to communicate and share the way we do in the "Rain" the world would be a better place.

I resolve to do at least one thing per day in 2007 to make someone elses day better. To carry the Christmas spirit beyond the one day or one week we experience each year. If all of you will join me in this we will have accomplished something great together.

Again, I wish all of you the best during this great time of year and always.

Merry Christmas to you John.

While a lot of soldiers can't come home, we can tell them thank you.  Here is a web site called Let's Say Thanks.  You enter what you want and it will print it and be delivered to a soldier.

Growing up in a military family and having a sister who graduated from the Air Force Academy I always remember the people who can't be home for the holidays.
