We wrapped up another year for the Big Horn Equestrian Center, home of the Big Horn Polo Club with the annual black-tie Christmas ball at the Historic Sheridan Inn. It was a culmination of a great year of polo, soccer tournaments, weddings and other activities for friends to gather and enjoy fantastic evening with Gary Small and the Coyote Brothers band playing late into the evening after a super silent auction and live auction. A great time was had by all as Shawn and her crew fom the Wyoming Rib and Chop House served a great dinner in a fun environment. The theme for the event this year was "Our Heros Have Always Been Cowboys", which was really fitting for an area of the world where some of the best people and cowboys have lived and still do. Irv Alderson, from the Bones Brothers Ranch in Birney, MT got us started with a brief speech about how important cowboys have been in shaping the Sheridan and Big Horn area into what it is today- a cosmopolitan-cowboy culture paradise.
It was an evening to remember in a memorable year and we look forward to what 2008 brings us at the BHEC.
