Obviously, all of us like using Active Rain to get our "blogs" out there.  Do any of you take advantage of other forms of Real Estate Networking?

I guess the reason that I bring this up is for SEO purposes.  Networking is a form of branding and self-promotion.  When you have a series of links coming from higher Page Rank (PR) sites, your PR will also increase and therefore increasing your google-ability.  That being said, I want to share other sources of blogs to help you get your links out there and increase your PR.

  1. Obviously, AR
  2. WannaNetwork
  3. My Connecticut Mortgage Website
  4. Yahoo Finance blogs
  5. CNN blogs (usually CNN Money)

There are 5 sources that I try to blog on a consistent basis.  So, I ask you and invite you to do the same and blog all over the place to get your name out there!  Heck, free self-promotion is free self-promotion no matter how you slice or dice it!

Multiple plaltforms will run you ragged if you are trying to post unique content to each of them.

It pays off in SEO, but takes a tremendous amount of time.

I post on 6 sites, and have decided to cut back a little.

Just AR and a blogger account for me...I agree with Mike, that too many would drive me crazy.

Just two blogs for me.  AR and VaRealEstateTalk.  Some of the content is the same and it gets picked up by Google and other sources.  I've ended up in the local paper and I'm waiting to see whether another contact this week will end up with my blog in a statewide publication.

Andrew, I just blog primarily on AR right now, but I would love to do more.  Time is just limited because business is picking up and there are a lot of things to do.  I will bookmark this blog and check them out later.  I appreciate your email also.  I am doing good and I am encouraged that the market is picking up and will start to heat up this spring in the Sacramento Area.  Best wishes and have a great Christmas season!

I have 2 blogs at the moment but I'm looking into how to leverage the effort. Do you have any methods that save time and energy but accomplish the SEO push?

Mike - I do agree that posting in several areas can be time consuming, but it does generate that "link juice" that you need for SEO.  How do you feel about posting duplicate content?

Monika - Thanks for sharing that!  I would also try out WannaNetwork's forum.  They are ranked #1 on Google for Real Estate Networking

Teri - Just like Mike, I agree that too many accounts can be overwhelming.  What if it were something where you could just share any news that you heard or any questions that you have (sort of like a Question and Answer forum)?

Cindy - That's an excellent accomplishment, and congratulations!

Ernie - I'll suggest the same thing that I did above.  Just post the duplicate content.  You always want to leave as many footprints in the snow for search engines to find you.  Try out WannaNetwork's Real Estate Networking community and the forum over there.  Let me know what you think.

Brad - That's awesome that you are starting to learn about leveraging the power of a blog.  Honestly, I would say to post duplicate or similar content.  It saves time, and you can alter a few lines or closing arguments based on what you know of the crowd (audience).  I am blogging on here, WannaNetwork, and WordPress right now and I am seeing an improvement so far.

I'm just starting to get into the online networking/blogging, so this is it for me as of now. Also Just started up over on LinkedIn. I was very active on the appraisersforum for a while, but that's not really the same thing. It can be very time consuming just getting started, but I believe this is another great way of networking your services! Look forward to continuing moving forward on AR, I like all the opportunities here! Will check out WannaNetwork as well soon!

Shane - You've already taken the first step toward your online presence!  So, congratulations on that!  We have several great appraisers who post consistently over at WannaNetwork's Real Estate Networking community, and would love to have more actively participate!

I will try to find you and connect with you on Linked-In, and we'll go from there!  If you need anything please let me know!
