I would like to thank Valerie Peters at Terra Center for inviting me to her career day at the school that she counsels at. The career day. It was a wonderful experience with Donkin Donuts, Vocelli Pizza and juice to aid in the glucose levels of the sponsors of the event.

To name a few sponsors of the event: W Salon, Navy Federal Credit Union of Burke Virginia, Keller Williams of Alexandria Virginia - Greetings Virginia Team and Long & Foster which occupations include chiropractor, master of Martial Arts, policeman, army soldiers, hair stylist and owner, credit union and lender and real estate agent.

The kids came with their questions and clipboards eager to learn about the different tables and the careers that we choose. There were many giveaways such as shampoo, conditioners, floor plans, real estate word searches, bank word search, coin search, bouncing balls, easers, pens, pencils, notepads, action figures and more. My floor plan giveaways went off with a hit. They loved them and hopefully Stanley Martin and Brookfield Homes will too. I also taught them about area and measurements.

I also networked with the staff and volunteers. I made excellent connections. I discussed short sales, new home purchases, financing and loan modifications. It was a great experience that I would like to continue each year.

What is your daily routine?
My answer: Wake up, get ready, go to Starbucks, review schedule, make phone calls, meet with new clients, write offers, review offers, attend home inspections, review appraisals, preview properties, show homes to clients to name a few.
Who influenced you to choose the career you are in now?
My answer:  My mother since she has always beleived in me and told me to strive for the best.
What is your greatest challenge in your profession?
My answer:  My greatest challenge is sometimes not zeroing in on my clients needs in the beginning and sometimes not "firing" the draining clients early on.
What do you like the most about your job?
My answer: I love real estate and having the flexibilty in my time.
