Real Estate Agent with ERA TEAM IV HOMES

TEAMS WORK!!!  TWO agents for the price of one. Clients like the idea that there will always be one of the team they can reach. I am a strong advocate of TEAMS working together to accomplish  a goal.

The advantages: Each member of the team brings their strong points with them to the listing presentation. One member may be the best  at negotiations. One member may be the best deal follow up person, etc. Client /agent rapport is easy to develop with a team. How great it is for the team to know that if they are away the other member is there for the client.

Before you set up a team, get the advice of your broker. You are entering a "Professional Marriage". Be sure you understand each other totally. Communication is critical to the team success. Your goals must be the same.

Write down all negatives and positives!  Can you list individually? Do you share buyers?

Watch for RED FLAGS!!!!

One comments about doing more work then the other!! (settle this one quickly)

Treating a partner like an assistant.

Quibbling about commission splits.

Know when the TEAM effort is over! It's OK!!!! Not a real divorce!!!

I know TEAMS work. I have always worked with a partner. We even put TEAM in our company name.(ERA TEAM IV HOMES)

Yes, teams can be terrific, and can be complicated.  Even when the team member is a spouse.

Janice - I agree - teams do work when they take the time to put the "rules" in place in advance.
