I just saw on Amazon that some realtors are offering various incentives to buyers: cars, flights, but the most unusual was a Peacock.
What is the strangest/oddest incentive you have seen (or that you have) offered?

hhhhmm, I've seen homes on canals offering a new boat with the home. Another AR member had a blog about a corvette coming with the home, but I believe the Peacock is the most unusual. Does the Peacock already live on the grounds at the subject property?

The strangest thing I have offered is to send a client on to another Realtor that is better suited for them, some people you just don't want to work with but you are happy to take the referral fee.

I don't know about odd...but the most extravagent thing I have seen offered is a brand new 2008 Mercedes. The listing was close to $2M.

Sean- Yes, it lived on the property that was for sale. The home owner was offering to include it in the sale.

Oh, I've also seen Rolex watches being offered by a builder not too long ago.

I never knew this secret side of the real estate market existed. I have heard of cash incentives, but offering the family pets are a bit extreme! I can't wait to read about other AR responses!
