Not so much now, but when I was a kid growing up, there were two expressions often heard...’A CHIP off the old block’ and ‘A CHIP on the shoulder’...
In a way, both were attempts at trying to describe a person’s DEMEANOR or ATTITUDE...
Of course, the first, was descriptive of a person who emulated someone who had gone before him, an older version, perhaps a parent, older brother or relative...NOW, it didn’t necessarily have to connote a positive attitude, but generally that was the way the term ‘a CHIP off the old block’ was used...
Having ‘a CHIP on one’s shoulder’, on the other hand, without exception, was used to describe a person who was looking for a fight, or who was out to get revenge on another, or just had a NASTY way about them...!!!
Unfortunately, the latter ‘CHIP’ is the way our President comes across to me...PLEASE READ THIS LINE CAREFULLY...
I really wasn’t enthused about writing a post that was negative, even if I myself have negative vibes about our President...BUT...this coming election will be a critical crossroad for our Nation and its people...
It would have been much preferred for me to write a POSITIVE piece about the ALTERNATIVES in this upcoming election...AND BELIEVE ME, my future posts will try to shy away from attacking our President...I believe he has already done enough damage to himself and our beloved Country...I hope, unintentionally, but I truly believe in my heart, HIS AGENDA IS FLAWED...!!!
I’m sure, like many who like him, I would enjoy having a couple of beers with him while he enticed me with his alluring magnetism...BUT...
Our Country, at this critical juncture in its history, needs a full fledged, serious minded, freedom loving, belt tightening, unpretentious, hard working, fiscally responsible CONSERVATIVE who truly understands ECONOMICS, FREE MARKETS, JOBS CREATION, ENERGY 
INDEPENDENCE, and PERSONAL LIBERTY...and doesn’t JUST TALK a good line, but knows how to back it up...A REAL CHIP OFF THE OLD BLOCK (and you can name any number of our previous presidents here)...
I write this post primarily for my NON CONSERVATIVE friends, as I urge them to soberly consider voting for THE CHANGE they think they needed nearly four years ago...
Please don’t be swayed by CLASS WARFARE, RACISM ACCUSATIONS, NEGATIVE ADVERTISING, POLITICAL CRONYISM, or any other attempts to DIVIDE US AS A NATION...
This November, I would like to see a groundswell of support for a UNIFYING PRESIDENT who will return our Country to its former grandeur and social values...WHILE at the same time REMOVING THE NATIONAL CHIP FROM OUR SHOULDERS...!!!
