You may want to consider signing up for All Things Paper, a selection of 15 different workshops taking place on May 4th and 5th at the Benton County Fairgrounds. Workshop Descriptions:

 

BOOKBINDING:  Susan Stogsdill: 20 years in bookbinding. In this work shop you will learn basic hardbound signature binding.  You will make  2-5 books depending on your speed.  2 WORKSHOPS PER DAY Material: $30.00

BOOK ART FOLDING SCULPTURE:  Leah Simmons, Ninja Pony Paper Art.  In this workshop you will do page manipulation to create book sculpture. 2 WORKSHOPS PER DAY Material: $8.00

BEAD MAKING: Cautrena Cano, Works at Creative Crafts. In this workshop you will learn to make a beautiful necklace using a double sided cardstock to create your one-of-a-kind paper beads. ONE WORKSHOP PER DAY Material: $3.00

CALLIGRAPHY: Micki Bachand. Beautiful Writing. You will explore how to manipulate a dip pen and ink, be exposed to a number of lettering styles and practice basic lettering styles. 2 WORKSHOPS PER DAY Material: $8.00

COLLAGE: Kathy Jederlinich, a professional artist that has been teaching students of all ages. You will learn to let your mind go and delve into your artistic side. This workshop will be making a 3-D mulit-media collage. 2 WORKSHOPS PER DAY Material: $10.00

CREATIVE JOURNAL ART: Isabella Vickers, Will take you on a journey of self awareness in the development of your personal journal. 2 WORKSHOPS PER DAY

MINI SCRAP BOOKS: Melissa Zessin is a demonstrator with over 20 years experience with the Stampin-up company.  In this workshop you will be making one mini accordion squash book and one 12×12 folded book. ONE WORKSHOP PER DAY Material: $5.00

INNERACTIVE CARD MAKING: Melissa Zessin is a demonstrator with over 20 years experience with the Stampin-up company. In this workshop you will be making 3 cards that will have a fun twist to conventionally folded cards. ONE WORKSHOP PER DAY

ORIGAMI FOR BEGINNERS: Jerry Hydrus has been creating origami shapes and figures since grade school. Jerry will be teaching the art of paper folding. This is an introduction to the benefits of paper folding and history of Origami, its symbols and meanings. ONE WORKSHOP PER DAY Material: $8.00

ORIGAMI FOR INTERMEDIATE: Jerry Hydrus, Has been creating  origami shapes and figures since grade school. Jerry will be teaching the art of paper folding. In this intermediate workshop you will learn more advanced and intricate shapes and folds. ONE WORKSHOP PER DAY Material: $8.00

PAPER AND GLASS ARTS: Cautrena Cano. In this workshop you will create one-of-a-kind paperweights, magnets and jewelry—a real multi-media experience. Great for future gift ideas too. ONE CLASS PER DAY Material: $22.00

ORIGAMI BOX MAKING: Pam Muir,  an artist working at Creative Crafts will take you through the ancient art of paper box making. TWO WORKSHOPS PER DAY Material: $14.00

WHAT’S COOKING DECOUPAGE BOX: Jan Lowther, will take you through a tasty journey creating your own recipe box.  This includes techniques on how to decoupage and use embellishments. TWO WORKSHOPS PER DAY Material: $18.00

PHOTO MANIPULATION/RESTORATION SEMINAR: Don Ferguson, Owner of Shadowsmith Photographics will cover the intricate manipulation of photos to get the desired effect you want.  This will include how and why to restore your family photos. ONE WORKSHOP PER DAY Material: No fee.

ACID FREE MATTING/FRAMING SEMINAR: Paige Shumway is Co-Owner of Pegasus Gallery and Fine Framing-Gallery. Paige will cover the hows and whys of framing with acid free products. ONE WORKSHOP PER DAY Material: No fee.
