SOME REALLY SMART QUACKERS

By

I am driving down busy Rt. 12 in Dudley, Mass Tuesday morning.  I look to my left and I see Canada geese waiting on the side walk.  What were they waiting for?  They were waiting for somebody like me to stop and let them cross the street.  I stopped my vehicle and let Mom and Dad and the four goslings cross the street.

Yes they are Canada not Canadian geese.  The babies born in the spring are called goslings.  They are so cute.  What does this have to do with real estate?  Absolutely nothing.  It just made for a cute picture.

I believe that it has a lot to do with real estate.

It shows the protective instinct of parents for their offspring.

This is what drives many home owner decisions of buyers with children.

Morning Conrad even the birds have a instinct to keep their babies safe.  Sad to say in these times humans are so consumed with their lives they don't pay attention to the world around them.

It does Lenn.  What took me by surprise is how they patiently waited for the cars to stop before they crossed.

It sure does Dorrie.  Schools, neighborhoods, etc.

We have but we don't see James.

Thank you Carol.

Conrad, All work and no play makes a person dull! Sometimes a diversion brings things back into perspective. Nice gesture! Enjoy your day!

I feel this is more a political statement - the Canada geese mate for life and they both care of their eggs in the nest.....yet the FEMALE is in charge!

....Experience Isn't Expensive.... It's Priceless!

Good morning Conrad,

Lovely post, and those Geese were very grateful for your stopping and allowing them to cross the street.  It is a shame that more don't take the time to pay attention to what's happening around them!  I salute you!

It was so cool to watch them be so protective of the goslings Lisa.

Wait a second here...  These are eese, not ducks- so they aren't smart quackers.  However, waiting for traffic to stop instead of just running into the street means none of them would be a silly goose, either.

I wonder if any of them honked at the cars to get them to stop so they could cross?
