Arthur Rutenberg, a national custom home builder, has recently entered the local housing market with the addition of Paragon Homes, Rutenberg’s first franchise in the Carolinas. Because Paragon homes is new to the Charlotte market, they don’t have their money tied up in spec houses and unsellable lots. They are well poised to take advantage of a market that is laden with struggling and financially strapped builders.
They have recently completed a model home in Springfield and it is a beauty. It is a 3,914 square foot house located on the 18th green of the Springfield Golf Course. The design of the house is called the Ashville and it includes 4 bedrooms/ 3 1/2 bathrooms, and a 3 car garage. According to their website, the “Ashville represents the finest custom home value available in Charlotte” and after touring the house, I think they just may be right. Home prices start from $359,000 excluding the lot.
As soon as you walk through the front door, you will immediately be struck by the gorgeousness of the house. I love my house, but I could easily move every 2-3 years. There’s just something so exciting about moving to a new home. It’s like forming a new friendship.
Nothing in the house is an upgrade which is a smart business strategy. There’s nothing worse than falling in love with a model home and then realizing the house you can afford is a very stripped down version. It leaves you feeling deprived.
My favorite feature of the house is the pocketing 8-foot tall sliding glass doors between the family room and back porch area. They completely transform the space into a combined indoor/outdoor space.
