Goodwill has a critical need for computers and associated parts. Not only do they contain valuable e-parts, they also contain e-waste (electronic waste) which could prove harmful to Mother Earth. When you bring your computers to Goodwill, they will do one of three things:
- Repurpose: Many computers can be pieced apart and resold for e-parts
- Rebuild: Many times, we can use systems as-is or re-construct new systems to resell in our stores
- Recycle: Computers contain hazardous e-waste which could be dangerous if sent or incinerated in a landfill
Goodwill's Reconnect program, a partnership with Dell, collects and properly recycles computers and peripherals. In fact, Goodwill of San Antonio is an industry-leader in the Dell program and amount of recycled units that are processed!
