Thinking Outside the Box in Edmonton! If You Can't Find What You Want, Make It Yourself: Session 6!
I've been trying to find some abstract art that I like and that I can afford for Home Staging.
Not so easy, most of it is very expensive, not the right size and the colours aren't what I want.
So I decided to try and paint some myself.
I've been tweaking everything I've worked on so far and I find the pattern I tend to follow is; work on a previous canvas and try to finish it, then make the background for a new canvas or two and let it dry for the next time.
My smoosh and splat technique gets very wet and it takes a while to dry and I'm not really one to sit around and watch that kind of stuff!
Here are 2 of my latest midway through, I have since tweaked with some metallic paints and they have yet to be sealed too.
Thursday I am going with Jack Ellis, one of the studio owners, to see his publisher and we're going to talk about making prints from my paintings so I can sell them at a reasonable price so anyone can use them!
How cool is that!?!
=D
