There comes a time in your life when you have to get out of your chair and make things happen. This phrase always seems easier said then done. But as a small business owner we some times loose who we are in what we do. We grab food on the run, and by run I mean from job to job (not on the treadmill as we should). We either loose sleep or don’t sleep because of work pressures and deadlines.
I recently found myself in a major SLUMP. I hit the proverbial wave. I woke up one day with bags under my eyes, 50lbs over weight, no energy and creative block to beat the band. Now some of this mental and physical clarity presented itself after a 3rd member of my family was diagnosed with the same cancer I lost my father too… However the message stands true to anyone.
Often times our business and personal goals are clouded by the state of our physical and emotional health. Whatever happened to stop and smell the roses…(Yankee has a candle for that now!). Sometime we are forced to sit back and reevaluate our life… reset our priorities and be the change we want to see in our lives.
Today I just joined the gym… Started practicing what I preach by drinking 8 cups of water a day and eating healthy. Change in all directions increases clarity, streams of innovative ideas and is emotionally + physically freeing. Time, dedication and a plan is all you need to achieve any life goals.
Reach for the Sky…Your life is waiting.
