July 2012 Market Report for San Antonio, TX
According to latest information released from the July 2012 Multiple Listing Service as reported by the San Antonio Board of REALTORS®(SABOR), the average sales price for single family residential homes increased to $196,846, which was a 2% increase when compared to this same time last year.
The Median Sales price in San Antonio is at $164,200, which is a 4% increase from last year. 65% of all the total monthly homes sales last month were below the 200,000 price range. San Antonio recorded 1904 in sales last month, which was up 12% from July 2011.
Year to Date, some 11,375 total sales in the city which account for a 7% increase from YTD 2011.
San Antonio continues to be economically sound with job growth, and the fact we are still considered to an “affordable place” to live compared to most cities across the country. Hi Kevin. Don't plan to go hungry, so I will be chasing those listing under 200K in my area. Besides, Christmas is only few months away. But, I will take one of those high end homes over 500K.
