Do You Feel Guilty When You Have Not Posted on ActiveRain?

Real Estate Agent

ActiveRain has become a formidable instrument to increase traffic to my site. It brings lead, clients, connections, and allies. Blogging in this platform has been part of my real estate endeavors for the past months. However, at times I fail to post a blog entry due to some other matters that I have to do.

blogging mistakes

Whenever instances like this occur, I used to feel guilty and frustrated. Thoughts such as irresponsibility run on my mind. There were even contemplations that seem to be difficult to resolve combined with the lack of inspiration to write.

ActiveRain is such a wonderful place to hone not only our business skills but also our thinking skills when it comes to the production of content. As much as we want to have our posts look professional most of the times, it can’t be helped that there will surface posts that may be regarded as personal. I know this one is.

What matters most is that we try our best to keep our blogs and sites alive, to pursuit our goals, to help our clients, and to make a difference in their lives. ActiveRain is a supportive community for us. And in times that we are not on the platform, it is just waiting for our return.

In the end, I just want to reiterate that we as real estate professionals and bloggers are also humans. When we fail to drop our thoughts on our blogging platforms (on professional and personal notes), it can is a telltale sign that we also have our limitations. Writer’s block do come our way once-in-a-while for several times in a year I guess. Bouncing back from these occurrences is great and with careful planning, gathering of inspirations, and a supportive community like ActiveRain – we can always be relieved after feeling guilty.

Am I the only one who has felt guilty for not letting ActiveRain bring rain to blogging efforts for at least a day? How many times have you felt guilty and frustrated about it? Or are you the type of individual who in the end realizes that failing to post a blog entry or losing inspiration for a day or so is just part of our human nature?

Good Morning Bruno, I used to feel guilty frustrated if I couldn't get to do at least one daily post.  Now, I am a touch irritated if I didn't manage to find 20 minutes to do this thing for myself and those who seem to take an interest in the local things I post about.  Like Valerie, much of what I do requires research first and now I've found a system to keep track of links I use repeatedly and that helps.

Never feel guilty though...unless your Mother is a reader and reminds you of when you missed a post!

I try to post EARLY so that I can respond to my blog comments during my day; however, when AR goes down for almost 6 hours, it becomes difficult!

Bruno - Yes, I feel guilt if I don't post blogs on Active Rain. I feel it is part of my business. Happy Labor Day Weekend.

Valerie - Yes, there are blog posts that require thorough research to verify the facts, and I must say that it can hinder anyone to post for day.

Mona - Research is a key part in many blog entries. Doing blog posts is commensurate to harnessing research skills too.

Wallace - The AR maintenance hinders many to do blog posts and comments, especially to those whose time tables are very restricted.

John - Like you, I used to feel guilty too. But it is important that we get up and do blog posts on times that we get inspired.
