The Think Green Fair will emphasize sustainable living practices and environmental stewardship. Our goal is to educate the public regarding water and energy efficiency, natural landscape care, and stewardship of Cibolo Creek. We will have children's activities and educators encouraging folks to be environmentally conscious and do their part to care for our natural resources while having a great time at a fun event.
Stuff the Truck- The Recycle Truck that is! Waste Management will have a full sized recycle truck at the Think Green Fair as well as helpful information about recycling and it's benefits to our community!
If you do not currently receive recycle service at your home or business start collecting. Bring your items to the fair and let's try and collect a truck's worth of recyclables that would have otherwise been included in the landfill! Recyclable items include....
Aluminum cans, Brown paper bags, Cardboard, Catalogs, magazines and phone books, Chipboard (cereal boxes, shoe boxes, etc.), Colored paper, Empty aerosol cans (remove nozzle), Computer paper, Envelopes, Newspapers and junk mail, Plastic bottles and jugs without lids, Tin and steel cans, White ledger paper, Glass bottles and jars (remove lids and rinse out any food or liquids)
Co Hosted by the City of Boerne, Boerne Parks & Recreation and the Cibolo Nature Center
