Pumpkin Time in Sandy Utah complete with season change

Sandy UT is getting into the season change idea. Dropping temperatures. Just a little dampness that might qualify as rain. Clouds on the mountains that may clear to reveal snow at higher elevations, An evening promised with increasing temperatures (well, into the 50s at least).

Trees that only this week showed a color change are dropping leaves with each wind gust. Fall is here.

Local advertising has changed to the yellows, reds and tans tans of Autumn.

And let us not forget the pumpkins. 9000 S State Street has its pumpkin patch adding color and doing brisk business. Not long ago it was fireworks. Now it's pumpkins, sure to be followed by Christmas trees.

Hey, is 2012 fast becoming history?

Larry, I love fall and all the color. I can even embrace the cooler temperatures and shorter days. Heck it is time for pot roast, chili and apple pie. We brought the wood in earlier this week and plan to light off the fireplace this weekend while watching the football games. Come on over for some down home cooking at the Yonkers.

Larry, we can buy some pumpkins but don't enjoy the changing of seasons as much as you do. Still, I like the warm weather and lack of snow! (sometimes though, I miss it!)

Sussie - there must be a special word for pumpkin lovers. May all yours come in the colors you like. I am starting to appreciate pumpkin as a flavor.

William - I enjoy collage work with Picasa. I find collages tell a story in a "complete" way. I have been using the results mostly in AR posts and have almost enough for a localism ebook.

Roger - sounds like decorator's heaven. Go for it.

Wayne - I was looking at snow on the mountains this morning, at 8000+ level. Enjoy your warmth.
