Going with the oven as you can't beat the gravy. Trader Joes brined turkeys rock! Regards Dave

Last year I was invited to a friends home and the turkey was done in one of those electric deep fryers.  It hardly took any time at all and was the most delicious and moist turkey -- including the white meat.  My experience with baking the turkey is the time it takes and I always tended to dry out the white meat.

However you decide to go, have a blessed Thanksgiving.

I have never had an deep fried turkey.  One year a family member's oven went out at the wrong time, so we barbequed a bird instead.  It was pretty good.  We've also smoked them and liked them too.  My favorite is to roast a turkey that I have buttered the outside of and added apricot syrup to.  I bake them at 400 degrees, and it seals in the juices and they don't get dry.  I also place lemon halves and sprigs of rosemary in the chest cavity.  I cook the dressing on the side.
