Real Estate Agent with Realty Associates 0529267

The "Keep Pearland Beautiful" group is always working hard to keep our City looking fantastic!  This year, the group will give away seedlings for an Arbor Day Celebration.   The seedlings will include American Elm, Pond Cypress, Wild Pear, Chickasaw Plum and Blackgum Tupelo.  These trees will be handed out free of charge to Pearland residents on January 12th from 8am - 12pm at two locations.

One location will be the Westside Event Center, 2150 Country Place Blvd.    There will be a demo at 10:30am  on planting and pruning.

The second location will be the Pearland Community Center, 3519 Liberty Drive.  There will be a demo on planting and pruning at 9am.

This will be a fun, learning experience for your children as they watch their very own tree growing.

For more information, please call Sherwin Sun at 281-652-1659 or email at ssun@mykpb.org.

Pam - what a great "Earth Day" promotion!  I'm surprised that in Pearland, they give out more than just the wild pear trees ;)  which I didn't know existed until now!

Pam, I agree with Joni, you can never have too many trees.  Great for kids to learn about trees and watch them grow right along with them.

Pam, A great localism on Arbor Day event.  As dry as our area is I'm wondering if they will be giving away trees this year as the city is asking everyone to cut back on landscape.  I'll have to check into this.... Thanks for the light bulb moment.

Hi Pam! We have a similar event planned here in Friendswood as well. We just removed the pool from our backyard, and need to plant some trees in the open area, so I might just go pick up a tree on Arbor Day! Have a great day!<!--[if gte mso 9]><xml> <w:WordDocument> <w:View>Normal</w:View> <w:Zoom>0</w:Zoom> <w:TrackMoves/> <w:TrackFormatting/> <w:PunctuationKerning/> <w:ValidateAgainstSchemas/> <w:SaveIfXMLInvalid>false</w:SaveIfXMLInvalid> <w:IgnoreMixedContent>false</w:IgnoreMixedContent> <w:AlwaysShowPlaceholderText>false</w:AlwaysShowPlaceholderText> <w:DoNotPromoteQF/> <w:LidThemeOther>EN-US</w:LidThemeOther> <w:LidThemeAsian>X-NONE</w:LidThemeAsian> <w:LidThemeComplexScript>X-NONE</w:LidThemeComplexScript> <w:Compatibility> <w:BreakWrappedTables/> <w:SnapToGridInCell/> <w:WrapTextWithPunct/> <w:UseAsianBreakRules/> <w:DontGrowAutofit/> <w:SplitPgBreakAndParaMark/> <w:DontVertAlignCellWithSp/> <w:DontBreakConstrainedForcedTables/> <w:DontVertAlignInTxbx/> <w:Word11KerningPairs/> <w:CachedColBalance/> </w:Compatibility> <w:BrowserLevel>MicrosoftInternetExplorer4</w:BrowserLevel> <m:mathPr> <m:mathFont m:val="Cambria Math"/> <m:brkBin m:val="before"/> <m:brkBinSub m:val="--"/> <m:smallFrac m:val="off"/> <m:dispDef/> <m:lMargin m:val="0"/> <m:rMargin m:val="0"/> <m:defJc m:val="centerGroup"/> <m:wrapIndent m:val="1440"/> <m:intLim m:val="subSup"/> <m:naryLim m:val="undOvr"/> </m:mathPr></w:WordDocument> </xml><![endif]-->
