Although we live in the age of the internet and many now get their news online, this is especially  true of the younger generation, I  still like to pick up the newspaper and look for stories that interest me.

In the Mid Hudson Valley thankfully we have a choice of newspapers; some are printed daily and others weekly.

Daily Newspaper

Daily Freeman

Poughkeepsie Journal

Times Herald Record

Mid Hudson News

 Weekly Newspaper

 Hudson Valley Press

Gazzette Advertiser

 Dutchess Beat

Harlem Valley Times

Millbrook Round Table

Pawling News Chronicle

Voice Ledger

Register Herald

Hyde Park Townsman

Millerton News

In my community we also receive a free copy of a monthly newspaper the Hudson Valley Sampler, this keeps us informed of the news businesses in town and upcoming events.  Each month a new business owner is featured  This paper gives the  second home residents an idea of what is going on in town.

Julie, and you can always pickup the times on any newstand...  I sometimes go to the Herald Record online for old times sake.

Local newspapers are very portable and provide valuable information on local events. This information helps us to stay in touch with what's happening in the communities we service.

Jennifer providing these links is a good service to people in your area, especially for someone who is looking to move there or has just recently moved there, they might not be aware of all the news publication available to them.

Jennifer,  you have a lot of newspapers.  You and my sister would get along. She still loves getting that paper.  I actually let our subscription go several years ago.
