Main Event Entertainment now Open in Katy

Main Event Entertainment in Katy Texas opened its doors to the public back last spring. The facility is huge inside and has many things to do for children, teens, bored 20 plus generation and adults. Main Event is located at 24401 katy Freeway Katy Texas 77494 and the phone is 281-394-4800. This facility is located in Katy Ranch Crossing and physically just west of the intersection of Highway 99 ( Grand parkway) and I-10 on the inbound feeder road. Some of the internet maps show it being located further west.

What can you do for entertainment at Main Event? The answer is many things including Billiards or Pool, Bowling, Laser Tag, Glow Golf, Rock Climbing, Gravity Ropes, Big Arcade, Karaoke , several places to eat and a adult bar. TV’s are scattered throughout the facility. The bowling alley is so popular that when you arrive you have to put your name on a waiting list. ( Other than trying to play on a league night when is any bowling alley this busy?) Your group gets one hour to bowl and then if the group wants to bowl for another hour again your name goes back on the waiting list. I have not gone bowling in several years and I am not sure how many games a group of four would get in in a one hour time window.

Prices are not cheap but I do like the looks of the bowling alley and the pool tables.The adult bar is located in close proximity to the pool tables. I have not yet actually participated in anything here but this past weekend after finding its location due to the opening of Baskins Western Wear (same strip center) I took pictures inside and out and walked through the whole place. Needless to say Main Event was very crowded for a Sunday afternoon and many folks were waiting for the opportunity to bowl.

Thanks for the compliment but right now I am in no shape for anything but sittiing on the darn couch.My CPAP sleep Apnea machine gave me a staph infection inside both eyes and an infection on my nose and face. Nose and face are now OK but eyes still work in process. last night was first time I used machine in say 10 days.

I have not been bowling in a long time. I think the last time I it was a date and he was so competitve he had to win. Oh well some folks! I used to be on a bowling league it was a lot of fun and not a serious league.
