Cleansing The Soul For Spring Cleaning

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty 0575737

You may start reading articles in magazines and blog posts soon about spring cleaning homes, freshening them up coming out of winter, and in real estate PREPARATION for the spring peak selling season. Well one OTHER good idea is freshening up YOUR soul and rejuvenating yourself in the month ahead.

Bicycle In FieldI call this technique

Slow Down You Move Too Fast

With the internet and the fast pace of jobs and social media and ALL the frenzy that can attack us in a week how about CARVING out time for slowing down?

Pick from many ideas to slow down to let your mind unwind. It is all about balance

  • gardening
  • ride a bike or horse
  • paint
  • listen to music
  • read
  • go to the lake, ocean, mountains, walk around, hike
  • quiet meal with someone at a restaurant
  • call someone up or visit them and just endless chat
  • take a country drive somewhere "off the beaten path"
  • rest in a hammock when the weather is warm

Millions of ideas of "something quiet" to do......

I think it will spring clean cleanse your soul and you will be better to able to attack and deal with the frenzy when your return from your mini vacation. A key to this SLOW DOWN idea is to have NO DEADLINES, no goals to achieve - JUST BE in the moment.

Simon & Garfunkel, the musicians I think were way ahead of their time with Sound of Silence and this SLOW DOWN YOU MOVE TOO FAST thought in the 60's. It is needed NOW more than EVER.... to keep yourself FEELING GROOVY.

Good morning Gary -

Once again you have provided some great truth and inspiration.  This is one area I've personally been working on for the past year but putting it into a Cleansing The Soul For Spring Cleaning frame of mind is awesome!  Great motivation to continue onward and upward.

I'm enjoying my slow down. I know it won't last forever. My listing inventory dipped from about 70 to 20 listings. I feel like I'm on vacation. It's pretty cool!!!

Great song, if we would only really listen to the words and follow them just a bit!

Good advice, Gary.  I photograph flowers to relax.  It is easy to set aside the problems of the moment when you focus your attention on a beautiful flower.

Have a great Friday and an outstanding weekend.
