OLNEY FARMERS AND ARTISTS MARKET --
COMMUNITY MEETING
Community Meeting this Saturday at 10am at the Sandy Spring Museum. We need the community's input and also need new volunteers. We're looking for people to serve on various committees (e.g., publicity, fund-raising, volunteer coordination, and chef's demonstrations) as well. We also have some exciting plans for the upcoming Spring/Summer Market.
WHAT'S NEW FOR SUNDAY, MARCH 3?
We invite you to come out of the cold and join us for some hot chocolate and pastries inside the warm Museum this Sunday.
We'd like to welcome and introduce our newest photographer, Tom Major! He will be showing spectacular photos from his travels around the world, including Brazil and the Caribbean. Tom is an experienced diver, and his photographs offer amazing underwater views.
This week's special event is on The Art of True Light, a subtle energy practice through which you can receive a positive, relaxing and spiritual energy called "Light." This energy is transmitted from the hand of the Practitioner. Bette Mozdzen and her associates will conduct the demonstration, in the back room, at noon. Experience has shown by receiving Light you can revitalize your spirit, mind and body. Market visitors will be able to experience this energy for themselves afterwards. For more information, please visit Bette's website, LightBodySound.
- Jennifer Brown of Cupcakes Lounge will do a short presentation on cupcake decorating at her stand in the Dr. Bird room, at 1 pm.
- Our spring artists Deb Hines and Eileen Lee will be here for the first time. And Shea Wolfe and Rona Fitzgerald will be returning.
- In our food court you'll find moussaka and soups from Le Printemps; spring rolls, delicious chicken noodle soup and meat skewers from Dalat Deli; mouth-watering chocolate croissants and breads from Canela Bakery; cupcakes from Cupcakes Lounge; grass-fed beef and a variety of flavors of hummus from Bon Vivant; as well as Eric's fine coffee.
You can find The Farm at Our House back inside the Farmers' Corridor, as well as delicious sheep's cheeses from Shepherds Manor Creamery. Fresh herbs (Wellspring Gardens), vibrant flowers, bulbs, and green plants (M&M Plants and Plant Masters) can also be found there. As always, Homestead Farms, Becraft Firewood, and Nuts to You can be found outside.
