As a newcomer to the Dallas/Fort Worth area, I find it quizaical that the beauty of this area is not embellished by higher prices.  Yes, I understand some of the principles of macro-economics and indeed embrace quite a few.  Nevertheless, the stunning and simple elegance that is the Lake Ridge area is astounding and the lack of home buyer/builder attention given that area has me in a quandary.  With rolling hills and Joe Pool Lake, surrounded by trees, the likes of which are only to be found farther south in "The Hill Country," one must stop and wonder at why there has not been a greater in-migration to this pristine area.  The growth of an area always summons both negative and positives.  So let it be with Cedar Hill and Lake Ridge, but let us not forget our senses.  Truly...our senses as one drives through the area and smells the rippling waters of the lake as they cascade through our tactile and visual senses.  Let us almost taste the air as we separate out that which is human creation and settle in on nature's way.  There are few more beautiful places so proximate to a city center (much less proximate to two civic centers) that can claim such a hold on natural beauty.  Yes...I have it now...the locals are so used to this fine assemblage of natural feats that they've grown too accustomed to this natural blessing.  Take care Dallasonians and Fort Worthians, the Californians and Nevadans and even the "Zonies" are on their way.  They will have a different "take" on your beloved but neglected ground.  They will pull out their wallets and proverbially "kiss" the ground you are now walking on.
