This past Monday seems like three weeks ago. I flew into Asheville on Monday night and went back to work the following morning. Trying to get caught up on work has kept me from really getting any time to think about my time away. Finally, I started taking the photos off the camera.
This was my second time going to Montgomery, AL with my mother to attend the Alabama Shakespeare Festival. The plays were all awesome, we saw Twelfth Night and MacBeth plus two non-Shakespeare plays, Around the World in 80 Days and To Kill a Mockingbird. We had three evening plays so that left us plenty of time to explore Montgomery.
Mom and I went to the Montgomery Zoo. I can’t even remember the last time I went to a zoo. If I had to guess though I would say it might have been the San Diego Zoo back in the 60s. The day Mom and I went there were easily a dozen busloads of first and second grade children at the zoo for field trips. They were as interesting as the animals.
Mom begged me to go on the tram that traveled over the zoo hah! I had to beg my mother to get on the tram and travel over the zoo. Once up there she enjoyed it though and we got a really good overview of most of the animals and the children riding the tram. It was apparent that for some of the children that tram was the highest up in the air they’d ever been.
Well, enough reminiscing about the vacation for now…we’ve got a final walkthrough and closing in the morning, two new listings to get into MLS, a Buyers Guide ad to prepare and who knows what else can pop up during a Realtor’s day!
