A Real Estate Stager covers a lot of ground in that first initial consultation with report. Besides, minor improvements and updates, and maybe some suggestions for some major ones, a Real estate Stager is going to give an honest assessment about how the home will show to the general public.
A stager tells it straight, even when they know the homeowner might be resistant to this advice, why? Because of the goal is the same as the home owners -- to SELL THAT HOUSE!
Sometimes a home can be staged to perfection -- only to have a garage crammed full of boxes, or closets with boxes stacked to the ceiling. What does this say to a buyer? Well, nothing good believe me... For instance, a garage stuffed to the rafters might signify that perhaps there is not enough room in the home for stuff, and not only that, some buyers put a lot of thought into their future garage -- and if they can't see it, how do they know if they want to buy it?
The garage should be neat with storage units tidy, and show some space on those shelves... it subliminally says, "There's ROOM FOR MORE..."
What to do with all the stuff? Simple. Rent a storage unit. It is money well spent! The garage and closets and all spaces of the home will show so nicely! Many stagers can pass on names of great places for home-sellers to store their stuff, and with a home showing so well, chances are even more likely that those items will ne trucking to their new destination soon!
