Are You a Fair Weather Blogger?
Now is where I am supposed to get all confrontal and tell you if you fit a certain description you are fair weather blogger! I personally find it very amusing that there are some active bloggers who write in this style and some folks who find them so funny. Their approach is to tell all of us how we are doing whatever the topic is wrong and if you knew what you were doing you follow their lead. It sort of reminds me of the “dark sarcasm” words in a Pink Floyd album The Wall.
Sometimes when I infrequently read some of this nonsense, I have to laugh very loud or in text talk LMAO! I also notice a few folks write blogs where they believe in their Real Estate activities they absolutely believe theopposite but want other readers do what they are saying in their blog. My comment is ‘Really” are some folks actually that out of touch?
My point about blogging is that everyone needs to find their blogging voice or even deeper their blogging persona. I have read several blogs in the past where the advice is to find your own blogging voice but in my mind it is much more than that. It is a matter of searching your mind and making your blogging almost if not part of your own persona. I personally think this is a much deeper issue. My simple advice is to think about what is the main purpose of your blogging efforts and stay with the program. don’t worry about this supposed competition stuff. Make money with the business purpose you have while having happy satisfied clients.
As I have personally have moved up the point chian at Active Rain I noticed a very curious phenomena at every point level. Some folks get to a specific point level and then for whatever reasons back off from their blogging activity. Now this is no problem as we all have various issues which will interrupt our blogging efforts being active deals ( cash money someday), family issues, vacations, health issues, buying a new home or building a new home or some other real issue. I am not talking about these daily facts of life we all face. What I am laughing about as I add more points is the folks at every stage of the AR point scheme who suddenly start getting active with their blogging and comments or whatever again when they see that I or someone else will or have passed them on the point ladder. Really as if this fits you then in my opinion you might need to think about seeking some help.
I will not tell you my theory or what I do but if you are watching what I do then you have to read my blogs and use your head to figure out what my approach is and what I might do or not do. Spare me as whoever you are you obviously have too much time on your hands! .. My main reason to blog is get CLIENTS and while I love the AR community and learn every day from participating, points on the ladder for me are just something that happens. I participate of course and like it a whole lot but I could care less what all the others are doing. I am very concerned when some of AR virtual friends disappear for good reasons. I follow this point stuff as in my mind it is great fun! Was I confrontal enough!! LOL!!
Maybe it time to rethink your own approach if you are worried about little old me as I accumulate points!! No worries for all my friends who I write comments on their blog on a frequent or infrequent basis as this blog is not aimed or directed at you..
Oh no you might have to stay late to write another blog as I just posted this one! No Bueno..
