Sell your home in The Shenandoah Valley

By
Real Estate Agent with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate III

There is a rise in homes selling in The Shenandoah Valley. Although, we did not slow down as much as most areas, homes were sitting more recently than over the last couple of years. Buyers are looking, Agents are writing contracts and Homes are selling. The market is healthier than potential sellers know. Too many are afraid to list their home, because they think it will sit too long. True, there are more homes to choose from, but that should not keep anyone from listing their home, it might have exactly what a Buyer is looking for.

Want to list and sell your home for what you and your Agent think it's worth? Here are some things you can do when you have your home listed and are ready to show:

  1. Open all shades/blinds - let the light shine in
  2. Make sure all trash is disposed of
  3. Pet areas should be clean and odor free
  4. Vacuum carpets
  5. Turn radio on low with light music
  6. Start fire in fireplace (if applicable)
  7. Pick up toys
  8. De-clutter
  9. Keep lawn mowed
  10. Add fresh flowers
