When I show homes, I always try to set up my showings approximately 24 hours in advance so the seller will have plenty of notice. Upon entering the home I always ring the doorbell or knock and then with no response, open the door and announce "Realtor" rather loudly. On this particular occasion I was working with a young buyer from out of state that happened to be a doctor.
We started out on our showing trip and arrived at the second house. I rang the door bell, with no answer so proceeded to open the door and announce "Realtor." The lights were on and there was a car in the driveway but it appeared no one was home. After viewing the main level we proceeded to the bedroom areas upstairs. Entered the master bedroom and as I rounded the corner to the master bath - - I immediately saw a woman covered (thank goodness) with bubbles in her bath with headphones on, listening to her music. I'm presuming her eyes were shut - - I quickly said "so sorry" and backed away - - my buyer client stuck his head around the corner to see what I had seen and quickly said "Don't worry, I'm a doctor and I've seen it all." We quickly left that home and laughed all the way to the next home.
The point being, when that lock box is on your front door always be very sure you have checked your voice mails and are aware if anyone is coming to show your home. When you decide to take a bath it is probably very wise to lock the bathroom door and even put a sign on the door stating "occupied." Since my office didn't receive a phone call from the "bathtub" seller, I believe her eyes were shut and she didn't even know we were there.
