Kit Homes

By
Real Estate Agent with Prudential Nutshell
The New York Times reports on the early 20th Century version of a kit home, the Sears, Roebuck Verona. Apparently the houses have withstood the test of time. Sears maintains an archive of the homes. New versions of kit homes are starting to attract attention. A client recently told me about Noble Homes, an attractive, modern, eco-friendly home. Perhaps the ultimate kit is a container home.

My first home was a Sears catalog home. People were always amazed when I told them, come to think of it, so was I when I bought the home.

Wow that is really interesting, thanks for sharing. I just recently saw a television news story that highlighted the high quality finishes that you can now get with kit-homes.

Well the homes they built are still around. I just recently listed one in Gulfport, FL. that still shows like a model. You can see pictures on my website @ www.ssirealtyllc.com I just thought you might find it interesting.
