It is only March 8th, 2008 but this is the year that the powers that be have decided in the best interest of ?????? we should turn the clocks ahead one hour starting at 2AM tomorrow.

So this is one of the many reminders you will get today that before you retire for the night, MOVE YOUR CLOCKS AHEAD ONE HOUR.

If you forget, there could be consequences like; missing church, missing an appointment, being late for a family function or even worse you may be late for work!

My plan to avoid any of the above is to turn in an hour early after changing the clocks and saying my prayers. What is your plan?

Jay has the job of clock turner here...so he better do it. We both have early appointments in the morning.

I think my cell phone (which basically is my clock) automatically changes :)

I'm just glad it will be darker later, even though I'll lose an hour of sleep!

Moni, I am the clock turner in our house. I'd hate to think what would happen if I left it up to the big guy. I hope your appointments turn into sales or listings or both.

Amy - My cell phone turns back automatically - how do they do that? Thanks for stopping by.

Pat - thank you - sleep well.

I have a job (been there almost 28 years) working from midnight to 8am.  I work in a data center and monitor mainframe systems.  I'll be setting the clock ahead with my co-workers on more than 30 systems tonight.  The good thing...   I'll be working 7 hours and getting paid for 8.  :-)

Tomorrow, I'll take a nap from 9am - 11am and then hold an Open House from 1pm - 4pm.  I wonder how many visitors I'll get????

Don't forget to change the batteries in your smoke detectors!

Judy,

Thanks for the reminder but I never changed the clock in my Hummer in the fall so it will be right tomorrow.....(and not due to excellent planning skills......but my inability to figure out how to change it).....

Linda - sleep all day then you will not feel sleep deprived for Monday.

Nancy - Good for you the grave yard shift. Nice to get paid for 8 in 7 but in the fall you must get paid for 8 in 9? Good reminder about the batteries.

Julie- I am still laughing about your clock in the Hummer.

Judy,

I love the alphabet soup!  Arizona doesn't participate in daylight savings time, except for the Navajo Nation.

Mike - Thank you - I guess you don't need more reason to be out and about in the evening since it is so nice and warm there.
