Wanted - Joint Venture With Staging Company for Marketing

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Geocentric Productions
My company is getting ready to launch a program for real estate agents who take their own photographs. One of our marketing concepts is to present a half day workshop to teach agents how to take better photographs and how to use the internet to help their own marketing programs. We are thinking of having local Home Staging companies join us in spronsoring the seminar. We want to test this concept in a few markets near Philadelphia - Reading, Lancaster in Pennsylvania and Wilmington, Delaware.  If you would be interested in joining us for this trial, please contact me ( jack@360by360.com ) . You would be expected to give a 45 minute presentation on staging and help with the promotion.

Jack, just a suggestion. I have undergone the training with HomeStaging.com. We were told that Barb Schwarz , owner of Home Staging, owns the trademark to "staged home" so you are not allowed to use that term unless you have undergone her training and pay the annual fee to be a part of the network. Now, I am not saying this is a bad thing, at least for those who have done it.

I would suggest that you inveswtigate the terminology you can actually use before you start telling your agents to refer to the properties as staged homes. Rumor has it this licensing issue is why the HGTV show is called "House Whisperers".

Thanks for your comment. I don't intend to tell agents how to refer to their properties or to discuss staging at all. I would expect that anyone we partner with will be aware of any trademarked terms.
