So it's 40 in Funkytown and 70 in Big D yesterday around noon. No, I'm not talking about the housing market or anything related, at this point, this famous or infamous Texas weather is nutso right now. I think I just heard and felt thunder rattle my wall decor for 20 seconds straight. What I'm doing today while the weather has this mostly outside-appreciating girl intimidated inside is wrap up all these 2013 files. It's a tedious end of year task that somehow never ceases to bring a smile to my face...
Every year my goal is simple and it's the same -- outperform last year. 10 years running I have incrementally grown this business year after year and for that, this Christmastime, I am very grateful. My first deal was December 31, 2003. This year marks 10 years in real estate service for me! I'm happy not only that the volume increased year after year, but the people I've served along the way, customers, clients, and the people who I have managed deals with, agents, lenders, escrow officers, various vendors, have been so much fun! It's just not worth it if the people are boogers. And I don't think I had any nasal issues this year at all! If I did, I forgot...
What is the 2014 outlook? Well... no crystal balls under my tree. And the housing market is as easy and awkward to predict as the weather, so why fiddle? Let's just make moves and have fun and lose all the analysis pieces. Unless that's fun to you... Then go for it!
Me? I'm Kristen and I'm a very confident and simple to work with Realtor. I'm confident in this DFW housing market, confident in those who will ask me for help and confident I will provide the real estate guidance they are looking for. Why? Because that's what I've done every single day for 10 years now! And I love real estate!
