New Year, Fresh Start!
Start 2014 with a fresh start. De-clutter your life by starting at home. Sorting through boxes, and organizing can be a little daunting, so here are some great tips to start pairing down today - a little at a time...

1. Store. A good rule of thumb is "If I haven't used it in a year, do I still need it around?".  If you haven't used it, or need to get to it, consider moving it to a storage facility. That way, if you need it you can get to it easily, but if you don't use it within the next year, it's easier to take to a donation center. Start by calling the storage facilities in the Cary Area... there are many great choices.

2. Sell. Want to overhaul a room and give it a new feel? Want to overhaul your look and give your wardrobe a facelift? Make some money off of your old things and make room (and have some extra cash) for the new things. It'll update your home and your outlook... and hey, who doesn't like to earn a little money! It's a win-win! Contact My Girlfriend's Closet, The Perfect Piece, ADORE Designer Resale and Once Upon a Child for information on selling your home goods, furniture or clothing.

3. Donate. You've taken anything you'd like to keep around a little longer to the storage facility, and you've consigned all your other goods that still have life in them... what to do with the other things you don't need around? Consider donating them. Find a Goodwill in your area and help the community, or find an organization that picks up unwanted household items. They benefit from your things and raise money for a good cause. Plus it's tax deductible!

4. Organize. After you've shed that extra stuff out of your home and life, call the experts to help organize closets, garages and rooms. It'll feel cleaner and more manageable and being able to access your things is a great feeling... so is knowing what is there! Need a professional? Go to Angie's List for staging professionals or organizational experts, or call Sharon for a reference.
