Located in Orting, Washington is High Cedars Golf Course, www.highcedars.com To start, this course has some excellent practice facilities to include, driving range, chipping green and putting green.
I played the course the first week of February on a overcast day and was in great condition taking into consideration our recent weather.
The price was, too my surprise, affordable at $20 to walk.
The #1 hole is a great starting hole being a Par 5 dogleg right, immeditely following is #2, a long par 3. The course sets up appealing to the eye, wide open fairways but with trees and bunkers strategically located for amateurs' errant shots to be somewhat penalized.
It boasts some incredible views of Mt. Rainier. It seems at times your at the mountains base rather than playing along the river that the mountain feeds.
the course also includes in its amenities an executive nine hole that winds through the subdivision.
Keep an eye out, there has been rumors of wildlife around the course.
