Sellers: Know Who Your Prospective Buyers Are

By
Real Estate Agent with Classic Realty Realtor

Whenever I talk with someone who would like to sell their home, I think about two schools of thought they will have to consider.  The first thought relates simply to the Sellers need of knowing who their competition is. Allow me to explain: If you are the owner of a Furniture Store, you would want to know what the Furniture Store (your competition) down the street is selling the same or similar product for. The same would be true for Department Stores. Whether large or small, they must know and understand their competition. How the competion markets their merchandise, what the store looks like, the friendliness of their staff is all, very important!

If you are a potential Home Seller, then similarly, you must know about your competition: You must know about the house that is for sale down the street or around the corner. You should discover, how is it priced? Does it have curb appeal? What will a potential home buyer see about the house around the corner that they may not see in your home? Simply put, how competitive is your home's marketing plan when compared to the other houses in your neighborhood? So Sellers, KNOW YOUR COMPETITION!

Second, Sellers must center in on why potential buyers might want to acquire their house. While focusing on this thought, I came across this piece of writing that really provides some useful and factual thoughts. Here is the link: Why Someone Might Want to Buy Your Home.

I hope you will read and carefully digest the truths, thinking carefully about your potential buyers.
