Our local news this evening gave us the latest dates for the checks to go out. According to the news, the economic stimulus package rebate checks go out in May, but you may have to wait a little bit longer to get yours. The date that your check will be mailed depends on the last two digits of your Social Security number. You also need to make sure that you file your 2007 tax return by the April 15th deadline to ensure that the government cuts you a check. If you file for an extension or just file late, I believe that you will still receive your rebate check, but it will be mailed after everyone who filed by the deadline gets theirs. So make sure that you have filed your taxes on time this year so that you will receive your rebate as soon as it's available. |

I have no idea about that. If it's true, then that's great! But our CPA didn't say anything to us about getting the stimulus money earlier than we normally would have just because we filed electronically.
