Did you know there are an unbelievable amount of opportunities to hike in and around Greensboro?
First, let’s define hike: a long walk, especially in the country or wilderness.(via Google)
I define this, because for a long time I thought a hike had to be more involved than a walk. You had to go up a mountain or something, and a backpack most definitely was to be involved.
I have learned that there are many wonderful hikes through beautiful wilderness right in our own back yards. I have started using this website, AllTrails.com, which also has a great app for your phone. It will tell you the closest trails, the length, pet friendly, difficulty, etc. It tells you everything you need to know to enjoy a nice long walk!
Now is the time to enjoy the outdoors as our temperatures are looking to be unseasonably cool (in the lower 80′s) for the coming week.
