The final Newton NC Soldiers Reunion event is the annual 30-60-100 Mile Century Bike Ride which begins with a mass start at 8 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 24, 2014 at the Newton Rec Center.
.All bicycle rides will be conducted at each rider’s own pace, with three ride lengths mapped throughout Catawba County. Each ride offers scenery and hills for cyclists to enjoy. The ride is open to anyone; however, those under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian while participating in this event.
First aid, refreshments, t-shirts, and more will be provided for all participants. Ride applications are available at Newton City Hall, Newton Recreation Center, sponsoring locations,.
The pre-registration fee is $20 until 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20. The late registration fee is $25.
