I'm over here in Virginia and things have picked up alot over the past 3 weeks. In my personnal; opnion, i think that the we will actually hit " rock bottom " this year and the market will turn in the next 12 months for the best  just as fast as it turned for the worst. In my opinion, i also hear the finger being pointed at the broker,as for being the cause of this. I think that the war has had alot to do with this because it took way to long for anyone to get up an attempt to even look at the issues. The number of foreclosures were high in 2006 and in 2007 they trippled. The u.s. economy is suffering while we have a trillion dollar war going on. What is wrong with this picture???

This whole thing does not surprise me in that we have a President that is term limited, so a new Commander in Chief is inevitable.  Every time we have a Presidential election there is some form of national crisis.  I think it's planned so that one party can point the finger at the other party.  But, then again, maybe I'm a conspiracy theorist.

Our market has started showing fewer DOM and the buyers are getting a little more active.  Not as much "tire kicking" going on.

Charlie - I agree with you especially with the money that being spent for the war.  I did also heard about the broker too.  I do hope it's a fast recover too.

Carol - I have seen that too with each President election.  I had some buyers drop off my list because of the economy.  I will be so glad when it get back to normal in the real estate market.
