Yes, I Drank The Kool-Aid

By
Real Estate Agent with Diamond Partners, Inc

Yes, I drank the Kool-aid! Six years ago I finally decided to see for myself if the rumors about Keller Williams were true. I had heard it was a cult, it was a pyramid scheme, that I would never make any money because KW took all of it, and a myriad other myths. I had been given a copy of The Millionaire Real Estate Agent, and never read it. But six years ago I decided it was time to check it out for myself.

I learned that people thought it was a cult because most KW agents were happy! I now know that has to do with the culture of the company from the top down. The tone is a positive one. There was no negativity to overcome unless I brought it with me! Not having to overcome negativity, my energy went into my own business and my clients. I was presented with proven systems and models, so my energy didn't have to go into figuring out what to do or how to do it, only into actually doing it. And when my energy was available to act instead of thinking about acting, my production increased. When my production increased, my life was better, which made me even happier, which made me even more productive.  So, if it is a cult, then I'm in.

It isn't a pyramid scheme. That is just ridiculous. The philosophy is that when one person succeeds we all succeed. The brokerages I had been affiliated with before Keller Williams were based on a model that the agent was there to make money for the broker. The Keller Williams model includes a philosophy that those who help the franchise grow and be profitable get to share in the monthly profit of that market center. When one succeeds all succeed.

Keller Williams does not take all my commission. I learned that in my first meeting with the Team Leader of the market center where I hang my license. In fact, it was the numbers that convinced me that I needed to make a move.

Keller Williams isn't right for everyone. But as real estate agents, part of our job is to look for the truth and not listen to the rumors. If you are ready to see if Keller Williams is right for you, give me a call at 913-208-2873. You don't even have to live in my market area, have a Keller Williams office close to you, or be unhappy where you are. If you want information, call me (913-208-2873). Remember that information is power. Keller Williams may not be right for you, and you can't reasonably make that decision without the correct information.
