After several months off to accommodate fair meets, the only major track left in Oregon will once again open for live horse racing this Sunday.
Portland Meadows is scheduled to host a four and a half month season, mostly held on Sundays and Wednesdays each week. At this point, the last scheduled race day is Wednesday, February 11th.
If you have never attended a live race before, you are missing out! The trainers, the jockeys, the owners, the industry in general needs your support. Entrance to the races is free, so treat yourself to an afternoon at the track! Dress is casual here, this is not the Kentucky Derby.
