"Until Further Notice, Celebrate Everything!"
In doing my research on this fine local Greek restaurant, I came across a quote on their facebook page, "Until Further Notice, Celebrate Everything!" I think that is an appropriate adage. And so we did.
We had a party of four last night and decided to seek out some Greek food. We met at "A Touch of Athens in Vancouver Wa." It is held in the historical "Hidden House" in downtown Vancouver.
As soon as you walk in, you have the feeling of an established Greek family welcoming you into their estate. We sat by the fire as it was a chilly night. The evening was slow paced and the authentic Greek food and service made us feel relaxed and joyful. It gave us time to catch up after all of our hectic lives. We laughed, shared news and ate the delicious greek food.
The food was amazing! Each one of us ordered something different and all items were devoured. We tried the lamb gyro, the feta appetizer plate, the spanakopita, the greek salad. We loved it all.
The owners are a family. The son was our server and he was delightful and sweet. The father was the one who welcomed us at the door and he must be the chef also.
