Minecraft Party for Kids

The Women’s Club of Ridgewood is sponsoring a Minecraft Party for Kids on May 22nd from 6 PM – 9 PM. The event takes place at 215 West Ridgewood Avenue in Ridgewood, NJ. The fee for admission is $25 and includes one slice of pizza and a bottle of water. Adults are admitted for free with a paying child.

There will be pizza, snacks, music, and prizes. George Berger, video game designer, will be at the event as a special guest. Participants can purchase additional slices of pizza, baked goods and other concession items. All net proceeds from the event are being donated to the North Porch Women and Infants Center. Participants are encouraged to donate diapers, formula, clothing, or toys.

Book Signing with Tommy Lasorda

Bookends is sponsoring a book signing with Baseball Hall of Fame Manager, Tommy Lasorda. This event takes place on May 23rd at 2 PM. Bookends is located at 211 East Ridgewood Avenue in Ridgewood, NJ. Admission to the book signing if free, but you must either purchase the book upon arrival or have a receipt for the book previously purchased from Bookends. Bookends has hosted book signings for the past 15 years and held singings for over 1000 authors.

The Mind, Body, Spirit Connection

The Ridgewood Library is hosting The Mind, Body, Spirit Connection lecture on May 19th from 7 PM – 8:30 PM. The Ridgewood Library is located at 125 North Maple Avenue in Ridgewood, NJ. She discusses the less-invasive measures that can be used to treat and prevent illness.

The Annual BFMS Memorial Day Remembrance

The Annual BFMS Memorial Day Remembrance will be held on May 20th at 7 PM. This event takes place at the auditorium of the Benjamin Franklin Middle School. The school will be selling miniature flags for the event, as well. Funds raised will be donated to the Wounded Warriors Foundation.

A luminary display will take place outside of the school in order to honor those who served and paid the ultimate sacrifice. Those who can’t attend may still make a donation.
