According to RealtyTrac.com, a foreclosure listing service, Alaska has one of the lowest foreclosure rates in the nation.
In April, 2015 (the most recent data available), one in every 2100 housing units in Alaska had a new foreclosure listing.
Mat-Su Borough had the highest April rate (1 in every 1082 units).
Fairbanks North Star Borough was second highest (1 in every 1300 units).
Anchorage area was third highest (1 in every 1920 units).
Kenai Peninsula Borough was fourth (1 in every 2542 units).
Southeast Fairbanks was the fifth highest region in Alaska in April, 2015 (1 in every 3900 units).
